General Meeting on Tuesday - 12/2/08

• Ideas for advertising HRC around campus
  • posters, flyers, buttons etc.
  • we need IDEAS for catchy slogans and designs to put on the posters and flyers
• Discussed T-shirts
  • we still haven't found a reliable, decent priced place to make the shirts
  • we need IDEAS for what to put on the t-shirts
• Ask if we want to do the condom raid with the SERV Team
  • Want more information before signing up
  • I will find out more information then send out an email with the information
• Discuss going into dorms
  • Starting with Morrison Tower because my R.A. asked me to start something there
• Talk about the Gods and Gays idea
  • Watch "For the Bible Tells Me So" when it is showing at the Wexner
  • What else do we want to do with Gods and Gays
    • Do we want more of a discussion/informative thing?
    • Or do or want a more town hall meeting type?
    • OMG let's mix the ideas together! We'll have four or five religions represented to give a discussion about homosexuality and their services and then have a question and answer session!
• Martin Luther King Day of Service
  • Show the community that GLBT people are part of the community and we just so happen to be fabulously gay as well, it's a win-win situation

  • Being out in athletics, promoting acceptance and awareness in athletic communities
  • Pat Griffin – does a lot of stuff with homophobia and sports
    • Author of "Strong Women, Deep Closets: Lesbians and Homophobia in Sports"

    • She said that she would love to come to OSU
    • We are awaiting response from the GLBT programming board to help with funding this
