Minutes for the Tuesday, November 18th of 2008 at 8:00PM Meeting

   

Transgender Talk, Tues. 11-18-2008 (Rashida’s Idea)

  1. We watched a Transgender movie Boys Don’t Cry and had a very brief discussion about the movie and the Transgender community.
  2. We also discussed the Employment Non-Descrimination Act that is trying to be passed and how originally gender expression was not in the act and why it is important to include the Transgender community.
  3. HRC officers gave updates about other HRC projects and current happenings. Discussed ideas for upcoming meetings.
  4. Voted on permanent time change from 8:00 to 8:30pm, which was passed. So the new meeting time for HRC is at 8:30pm.
  5. Must remember that the projector undergoes routine maintence aroud 10:15pm every Tuesday night.
