Hello everyone!

I hope that all of you had an enjoyable summer, but now that the new school year has started, we are holding our first meeting of the year this Tuesday, September 29th, at 8:30 PM in Hopkins Hall 262 (note that this is not 246, our room last year).  For those of you who have never attended an HRC@OSU meeting, don't worry, as this meeting will be an excellent time to start!  We'll recap what we did last year and talk about what we're working on next.  We are always open to new ideas, and this meeting would be a great time to bring them up (hint hint).  There will also be pizza!

However, our meeting isn't the only big event this week.  The GLBTQ Open House is happening this Thursday, October 1st, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on the South Oval - look for the rainbow balloons. It's a great opportunity to socialize and find out about resources and organizations both on campus and in the greater community, especially if you are new to Columbus.  Plus, there will be food!  All students, staff, faculty and community organizations are welcome to attend.  In the event of rain, the event will take place at the Kuhn Honors and Scholars House.

Additionally, FusionFRIDAY will be held this Friday, October 2nd, from 7 PM to 10 PM at the Hale Center. FusionFRIDAY is a social space for Central Ohio GLBT college students and their allies.  It is always a good time and I strongly encourage you to attend.

Have a great start to the year, and I hope to see all of you at the meeting this week!
